This project’s strength lies in the simplicity of the relationship between form and function. the clients wanted a garden that suited the requirements of all members in the growing family, while maintaining a high-quality architectural aesthetic.

Matthew Gee, senior designer at PHASE3 Landscape Construction, achieved this by creating a number of separate yet seamlessly integrated spaces that cater to each member of the family’s needs. the spaces include a basketball key, a large tiled pool with integrated seating ledges, a generous lawn area, a sandpit and an alfresco lounge and dining area, which features an open fireplace, as well as a breakout section with a barbecue and extra guest seating.

The pool is undoubtedly a standout feature of this project, as are the fencing screens and gates, which were all custom-designed and fabricated by PHASE3 Landscape Construction. A water-wise subsurface irrigation system, and a selection of water-efficient, hardy, low-maintenance plants were also incorporated into the landscape.
