The standout feature of this project, which was designed by Tim Davies Landscaping, is the spectacular pool. The clients wanted to rebuild the existing outdoor area to suit the contemporary style of their home.

A modern aesthetic was achieved by constructing a well-balanced infinity-edge pool from the previous pool’s shell to create an overflow on every side. The clients wanted a classic-style green-on-green garden, so the team at Tim Davies Landscaping included varieties such as pittosporum, buxus and viburnum suspensum, as well as citrus and kanuka trees.

A feature leopard tree was positioned within a two-storey void to link the spaces seamlessly and function as a stunning piece of artwork. Dichondra argentea and magnolia emerald spire trees were also incorporated into the design to provide highlights of colour. The sloping site posed a unique challenge for the team at Tim Davies Landscaping, who applied their skills with great finesse. The company included energy- and water-saving features where possible, such as a subsurface irrigation system, and LED lighting.
