This state-of-the-art infinity pool is as effortless as it is modern. Built in the courtyard of a highly architectural home, the custom-designed swimming pool and 1.7-metre-high spa was constructed entirely above-ground prior to the home’s construction. Footings for large columns were created so the home, which was crafted by Daniel Lomma Design, would interconnect architecturally with the pool’s infinity edge pond. The surrounding landscaping by Mondo Landscaping has been kept minimalistic and retaining walls have been used to reinforce the pool’s design.

The clever design allows the pool and spa plumbing to be encased within the concrete pool shell, encouraging a sleek and seamless finish. The pool is finished in ‘herringbone white’ tiles, while the spa features contrasting tiles in ‘herringbone black’; when combined with the abundance of crisp lines in the home’s architecture, a truly striking result was created.

Stainless steel trimmings have been used to finish the tiled areas, providing a high-quality aesthetic. The pool is illuminated spectacularly with multiple LED lights providing visual contrast, and creating the perfect ambiance. The flawless spa is gas heated and the pool has been fitted with a Viron Electric Heat Pump, a fully automated salt chlorinator, and seven-star energy rating pumps.
