The featured project perfectly illustrates how, through thoughtful design, indoor and outdoor living environments can be combined to create seamless living spaces.

An important feature of this display home, this pool was designed by building company Ross Griffin Homes and constructed by Boardwalk Pools with the aim of creating a modern and user-friendly entertaining area that was also aesthetically pleasing.

The sleek pool is spectacular in its simplicity. Measuring at just 6m X 4.7m, it fits snugly into the modest space available, however by keeping the shape of the pool simple, creates the impression of space. The adjacent pond water feature – separated by a timber boardwalk and a frameless glass fence – allows the pool area to transition smoothly into the outdoor kitchen.

The pool interior is finished in a Duraquartz render in Regal Blue and complementary dark blue waterline tiles. The surrounding polished exposed aggregate tiles and timber decking also contribute to the pool’s strong visual impact.

To ensure the pool was functional, a Hurlcon CTX pool pump, SD sand filter and Chemigem DM53 sanitation system were installed. This combination of quality products makes the pool easy to clean, meaning less time is spent maintaining the pool and more time to enjoying it.

With a large collection of awards, including numerous SPASA awards of excellence, Boardwalk Pools has an enviable reputation for creating exceptional pool and spa areas. The featured pool won the 2012 SPASA WA Gold Award for Excellence.
