Oasis Pools Project 1

This modern pool was cleverly designed by the owner of Oasis Pools, Gil Howard. Howard ensured the largest pool possible was created for the space, and selected a rectangle shape that’s suitable for both exercise and relaxation.

The clients requested that the pool be built as close to the property as possible, which was accomplished with the extended pool bench. They also installed a magnificent 4m floor-to-ceiling bedroom window, which gives the impression that the pool is flush against the house, and achieves a beautiful effect.

Oasis Pools encountered some difficulties with machinery and product transportation due to the site’s limited access points, which included a 1.2m-wide gate and a 1.5m-high front boundary. To overcome this issue, a considerable amount of earthworks were completed by hand and with a small excavator.

The pool steps were positioned to provide direct access to the rear entertaining area, which creates a streamlined entry point. The ‘ice Blue’ duraquartz pool interior provides the water with a beautiful colour. led lights were used throughout the pool to ensure the space can be enjoyed at any time.

The fully tiled water feature includes a 1.2m water blade with led lighting, which creates a relaxing waterfall into the pool. Measuring 3m x 1.4m, the water feature encompasses the back of the pool and provides privacy from the neighbouring house.

Australis Pavestone pavers and bull-nosed coping were used around the pool for a creative beach effect. The Zodiac filtration equipment – which is controlled by an Aqualink remote – is strategically hidden behind the water feature.

The second featured project by oasis Pools was originally installed in 1986. The clients wanted to modernise their pool, which had a green oxide plaster interior and brick coping as per the style at the time.

The original landscaping was completed by Howard’s wife and had matured beautifully over the years. The original rock waterfall feature had continued to run smoothly since its original installation. The newly renovated pool features a turquoise duraquartz interior that contrasts strikingly with the Australis Pavestone limestone pavers, which were laid throughout the patio.

The old sand filter and chlorinator were removed and replaced with a Zodiac CV340 cartridge filter and FloPro pump, which were installed in the existing garden shed. Pool West installed all filtration equipment and connected the solar heating, which combine to create a modern and energy-saving pool.
