Barrier Reef Pools Project 6

For this project, Barrier Reef Pools added the finishing touches to this Mosman Park home, making the outdoor area the ideal place for both fun and relaxation.

The property underwent an extensive renovation five years earlier, but the backyard had been left incomplete. The owners of the property had always wanted to install a pool, but concerns for the safety of their young children put the investment on the back burner.

When the owners decided it was time to revisit the design and function of their outdoor space they enlisted the expert team at Barrier Reef Pools to bring their design dreams to fruition. The finished project is the envy of the neighbourhood and comes complete with a spacious outdoor deck area, large state-of-the-art pool and an outdoor movie screen.

The owners wanted a space that would flow seamlessly with their home’s interior and act as an extension to the main living area. Barrier Reef Pools installed a Monaco pool that has been constructed from the finest materials. Featuring LED lighting, a crystal clear interior and contemporary water features, the pool perfectly complements its surrounds.

The rest of the outdoor area was renovated by the property’s owner, David Playford, who constructed a retaining wall to hide the pool’s filtration equipment, built the wraparound decking and transformed a rainwater tank into an outdoor shower.

The contemporary retaining wall features a water-blade fountain and has been painted white, so it can double as a movie screen during the summer.
