Neo Concrete Pools Project 4
Another triumph from the Neo Concrete Pools team, the featured project illustrates what can be achieved in a small space when working with industry leaders. The client wanted a functional family swimming pool to enhance her small, enclosed backyard. She wanted it to make the most of the space available, while providing views of the pool from the home’s living areas.
The 7.5m-long concrete pool makes use of the irregular shape of the site by tapering from 3m to 2.5m. Neo Concrete Pools extended one of the pool’s walls above-ground to form a feature planter bed, which will help to soften the high boundary wall as the plants mature. The planter wall features three custom stainless steel spouts, which add visual and audible interest to the space.
A standout feature of the pool is its gorgeous interior, which pairs a Blue Glass Pebble ‘Noosa’ finish with mosaic tiles by TIWA Mosaics. The radiant mosaic mix reflects both natural light and that generated by the two underwater LED lights.
A 1.8m wall at one end of the pool screens the equipment from view. At the bottom of the wall, a stainless steel envelope slot provides easy access to a pool blanket, which not only saves water but also complements the Heliocol Solar heating to extend the homeowner’s swimming season.
The pool features a Magnapool mineral water system, which requires less backwashing than conventional systems and allows backwashed water to be conserved, diluted and used to water plants. An AstralPool automatic pH feeder was also installed to further enhance the water quality of the pool.
Neo Concrete Pools specialises in custom designing and building concrete pools, which are tailored to each client’s needs and budget. The team works closely with homeowners to allow them to make informed decisions, resulting in a pool they will be happy with for many years to come.
